As regular readers of this blog know, it has been my privilege in the past year to partner on several occasions with the Foundation For Advancing Alcohol Responsibility (FAAR), and its safe teen driver programs, especially its IKnowEverything program to curb distracted driving and drunk driving.  FAAR has a great lineup of programs coming up during National Teen Driver Safety Week, October 19-25th.  Rather than interpret or get in the way of the message, I am pleased to pass along here FAAR’s message to me about their upcoming programs (and please make special note of the Twitter Party on October 21):

The Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility (Responsibility.org), along with Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA), International Association of Chiefs of Police Foundation, National Organizations for Youth Safety (NOYS), and the National Sheriffs’ Association (NSA), is proud to share our dynamic teen driver safety program, IKnowEverything for National Teen Driver Safety Week (October 19-25, 2014)!

Developed to prepare teens to be safe when they get behind the wheel, IKnowEverything is an integrated effort that highlights the issues of drunk driving and distracted driving, and reiterates to parents that they have the most influence on their teen’s driving behaviors.

This spring, the IKnowEverything Challenge events tested teen driving safety knowledge among more than 2,000 high school students in urban, suburban and rural communities across the nation. We found that less than half of teens received a passing grade.
